CyphrCam is a video recording application with music playback capabilities. We are not a music streaming service. We provide tools to help you record dance videos synchronized with music you already own or have access to through Apple Music.

What CyphrCam Is

  • A video camera application for recording dance and movement
  • A music player that plays your existing music library
  • A synchronization tool that aligns music with your recorded video

We do not stream, distribute, or provide access to copyrighted music. All music played through CyphrCam comes from your personal Apple Music library or files you upload directly.

Information We Collect

Waitlist & Beta Program

When you join our waitlist or apply to beta test, we collect:

  • Social media handle (optional, for beta testers)
  • Device type (iOS or Android)
  • Reason for wanting to beta test (optional)

App Usage

When you use the CyphrCam app, we may collect:

  • Device calibration data (Bluetooth latency measurements stored locally on your device)

What We Do NOT Collect

  • Your videos or recordings (these stay on your device)
  • Your music library or listening history

AI & Machine Learning Disclaimer

We do not use your data to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

  • Your videos, recordings, and personal content are never used for AI training
  • Your usage data is never sold to or shared with AI companies
  • We do not use generative AI to analyze your content
  • Your calibration and sync preferences are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to any servers for machine learning purposes

The "Learning System" feature in CyphrCam refers to the app learning your device's specific audio latency over time—this data never leaves your device and is not used for any AI training.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Communicate with you about product updates and launch announcements
  • Manage our beta testing program
  • Improve app performance and fix bugs
  • Understand how users interact with our features (anonymized analytics only)

Data Storage & Security

Your videos and recordings are stored locally on your device. We do not upload, store, or have access to your recorded content.

Waitlist and beta tester information is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and security practices.

Calibration data and app preferences are stored locally on your device using iOS's secure storage mechanisms.

Third-Party Services

CyphrCam integrates with:

  • Apple Music: To access your personal music library. We do not receive or store your Apple Music credentials or listening data.
  • iOS Photos: To save your exported videos. We only access Photos when you choose to save a video.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of any inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data from our waitlist
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time

Children's Privacy

CyphrCam is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
